Lorenzo's Fish Tank

9/13: Received first 2 shipments of plants today which included: an Anubias nana, taiwan/peacock moss, java moss, dwarf sag, hydrocotyle verticillata, subwasertang, and some surprise stems of pearl grass/ baby tears. Here are pictures of the plants put in place:

^^ I think I may move the Anubias nana a little further back, but otherwise everything looks okay (so far)

Here is a baby hitchhiker that I found in my hydrocotyle.. I stuck it in the front.. can’t wait to see what it turns out to be!

1st tank members— Here is the zebra nerite I ordered. I stuck him and the 2 coronas on the anubias and placed part of an algae wafer at the bottom of the tank to give them something to nibble on until the algae starts up.. eventually I will be moving the zebra into the shrimp tank.

One of the coronas.. they are a lot smaller than I thought they would be.. which is making me like them even more! I think eventually I’ll get a third one .. I like things in grps of 3 a lot.

That’s all I have to post about for now. Next sunday I will hopefully be adding 5 ottos to the tank as I found a petstore that is currently selling them (teeny babies atm). I’m a little concerned about the hydrocotyle. It looks more like a different hydrocotyle species than the verticillata (lighter green and has split leaves instead of solid pads).. but I guess I’ll leave it in for now and see how it turns out..

I hope my Dr.Foster&Smith shipment arrives soon so I can start feeding everyone!!
